OUR BELIEFS
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:42
WHAT WE BELIEVE ..
GODHEAD
There is only one God. But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. (I Corinthians 8:6)
Jesus, the Son of God, came down from heaven as the Word. According to the scriptures, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:14)
The Word that came down from heaven inherited the same name as the Father which is Jesus. Jesus was put to death in the flesh, rose (flesh and bones) ascended into heaven, and is on the right hand of God and lives by the power of God. Jesus, the Son of God, is coming back for the church.
SALVATION
You must hear and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, which consist of His death, burial, and resurrection. To obtain salvation, you must repent of your sins, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, (by a Believer of the Son of God, Jesus Christ) and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit give utterance, continue steadfast in the apostles’ doctrine, living according to the scriptures. (Acts 2:36-41)
WATER BAPTISM
After the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ on the day of Pentecost, the question was asked, Men and brethren what shall we do? Peter instructed them. Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)
According to the scripture, water baptism is executed by immersion in water. Therefore, we are buried with him by baptism into death: like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in the newness of life. (Romans 6:4)
And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: (Mark 1:10)
And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. (Acts 8:38-39)
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST/HOLY SPIRIT
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. (Acts 2:38-39)
The Holy Ghost comes to dwell in the hearts of all that believe and obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. (Luke 24:49)
The gift of the Holy Ghost is the birth of the Spirit. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:5)
According to scripture, the evidence of receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost is speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:4)
DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE
The scriptures states, And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. (1 Corinthians 7:10-11)
Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. (Luke 16:18)
But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. (Matthew 5:32)
WOMEN PREACHERS
There are many roles and duties that women in scripture fulfilled.
Miriam led the women with tibrels, dancing, singing, and praising God! (Exodus 15:20-21)
Deborah judged Israel and was identified as a prophetess. And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. (Judges 4:4)
The scriptures also instruct the aged women who to teach and what to teach. The aged women, likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (Titus 2:3-5)
There is NO scripture to support or justify women preachers. God has not sent or called women to preach and never will. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. (1Timothy 2:12)
HEAD COVERING
The scripture teaches us that every woman must have her head covered when praying or prophesying. Every man must have his head uncovered when praying or prophesying.
Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. (1Corinthians 11:4-7)
MINISTERING
Ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ is a serious assignment and must not be taken likely. Any man in the pulpit must have the gift from God, not just a zeal. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teaches, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. (Romans 12:6-8)
The gift will manifest when he speaks. And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:15)
APOSTLESHIP
To be recognized as a true Apostle of Jesus Christ, a man must have the same power and authority as the apostles in the scripture. The scriptures clearly outline the power the apostles had and operated in.
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. (Acts 2:43)
And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch. (Acts 5:12)
And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. (Acts 19:11-12)
Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds. (2 Corinthians 12:12)
Having the title “Apostle” does not make one a God sent apostle. The scriptures say it best, we know them by their fruits. (Matthew 7:15-16)
JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD
We firmly believe, teach, and proclaim that JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD, the Father, he is alive, and is on the right hand of God. The SON OF GOD LIVES!
And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. (Luke 24:50-51)
For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. (John 16:27-28)
For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. (John 5:22-23)
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. (Romans 8:34)
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Mark 1:1)
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 16:15-17)
