Pastor Kendrick Murray is the Teacher/Pastor of The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostles’ Doctrine (Mobile, AL).
Pastor Murray, native of Mobile, AL, has been ministering for 30 years and pastoring for 14 years.
The favor of God has richly rest upon Pastor Murray, allowing global outreach and exponential growth to accompany his ministry. Under his leadership, the church was blessed to purchase a 7,500+ square feet former college campus. With Pastor Murray’s vision, the brethren skillfully worked to renovate and remodel the facility to become the beautiful, spacious temple it is today, with room to grow. The media ministry, Son of God Lives Television Broadcast with Pastor Kendrick Murray airs on 13 stations with a global audience. Son of God Lives Radio Broadcast airs nationally and internationally. Pastor Murray has a national and international following of congregants and supporters.
Professionally, Pastor Murray worked in the healthcare profession as a nurse for several years. As a businessman, Pastor Murray works in the real-estate industry.
Pastor Murray is unapologetically a lover of God’s Word and the people of God. He spends countless hours studying the Word, counseling, praying for and with individuals, answering questions, calls, and emails. He is truly a faithful servant, making himself available to the local congregation as well as supporters and congregants across the country as well as internationally. He truly has a heart for ministry and the work of God. Pastor Murray’s heart’s desire is to be a vessel for God to use, to open the understanding of God’s people, and to unravel damnable doctrine that is contrary to the scriptures.
Along with his pastoral duties, Pastor Murray wears many other hats in the ministry. You may see him behind a camera, working with the media team, or exercising his negotiating skills to secure the best rates with hotels for our road trips just to name a few. However, he is never too busy to extend kindness, answer our call, return a text message, show hospitality, display the love of Christ, and to often end a conversation with “be encouraged.”
In his leisure time, (which is not very often) Pastor Murray loves deer hunting, fishing, vacationing with his wife, and spending time with his family.
Pastor Murray is married to the lovely, former Alisa Alford. Sister Murray is a blessing to our Pastor and to the ministry. She serves in multiple capacities and wears many hats, always a willing vessel. We understand that it takes a very special woman to be a pastor’s wife; God has equipped her for such a pivotal role. We appreciate Sister Murray’s service, labor of love, and dedication to this ministry.
Pastor and Sister Murray have been married for 32 years. They have been blessed with 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
